Maury Baseball Club

The MBC mini-concession stand will be open for the last JV home game against Granby on Friday 5/09 so please come out and grab a hot dog and cheer for our team against the arch-rival Comets. All proceeds go to MBC.

FIELD REPORT

In addition to all the usual field maintenance work it takes to keep the Maury field among the areas best, recent improvements to Maury's facility include improved wiring to the home dugout and press box, new lights, stereo and public address system for the press box, dugout lights, fresh paint on the dugouts and, most importantly, a new practice field at Ghent Elementary (with "L" Screen and batting screen donated by Brad Bonney of Guy's Upholstery). Thanks to everyone who pitched in with field maintenance and these significant improvements.

Field maintenance takes place every Saturday morning (weather permitting) beginning at 9:00 AM. Drop by with your coffee, cut some grass, rake some dirt and "shoot the bull" - everyone is welcome. Also, thanks to all those who worked on and/or donated to the JV and Varsity baskets that were auctioned off at the Maury auction.

Finally, Maury Baseball Club is experimenting with selling hotdogs, chips and drinks on Friday night home games to raise a little money and provide a service to fans. We will let you know how it goes.
